Gillian, David’s wife

My husband David has Alzheimer’s and resides in a care home.Up until March I visited and stayed with him for 9 hours daily. He suffers with anxiety, and my presence comforts and settles him.Now I am unable to touch him, hold his hand or get close enough to tell him I love him. Short ,chaperoned visits 2 meters apart do more harm and good, and the space between us leaves David bewildered and unsettled .He has months left - what a sad way to end one’s life without your loving wife by your side.
