The impact of coronavirus has been shattering for families affected by dementia. Urgent action must be taken to better protect people ahead of the winter.

Mum although you didn’t die from Covid, Covid took you away from me, lock away In a care home where I couldn’t get to you when you needed me the most. We had just lost dad your husband who was your main carer, it broke my heart when you ask do I live here can I live with you , you didn’t understand what had happened, I tried to FaceTime you and I called the home everyday. I was only allowed to see you when you had passed away! You died with a broken heart , and alone. I’m sorry mum!!!
