My darling Mum
My mum, who has Alzheimer’s and is immobile, is desperate to be with her family. Her wonderful care home cannot replicate or replace the love of family members. Mum’s anxiety and distress grow when we are apart. Gloucestershire County Council, without warning, have caused all garden visits to cease despite the fact we are in tier 1.The cruelty of this is unbearable. Key worker status for a named relative is more urgent than ever and the government must act now. Separation is devastating.
