I long for the day when I can hold my Mum's hand, get close to her and tell her I love her. My Mum has been living with Alzheimer's in a Care Home for over 4 years. I am terrified that she will forget us, that she thinks we have abandoned her, that she is frightened and lonely. Resident’s family should be tested and treated as key workers so that we can be with them rather than behind a window or on a screen. Having this personal contact withheld is just cruel.
