Dad

20/10/2020

Dad has Alzheimer's and has been in a care home for 3 years. I visited every day until lockdown. Last year I became ill and visiting dad helped me recover. Not seeing him this year meant I did relapse. This year he went into hospital and I couldn't visit him. The doctors said he was aggressive and medicated him. Eventually the nurses allowed me to visit him, he smiled and settled down and was discharged a few days later, but I still can't visit him regularly and I miss him so much.
