The impact of coronavirus has been shattering for families affected by dementia. Urgent action must be taken to better protect people ahead of the winter.

I am 2hrs away from my uncle and godfather living in a care home. I haven’t been able to visit him since we went into lockdown, he recently had his 91st birthday and the staff sent us some photo of them giving him his presents. It was heart breaking to see how frail he has become, I am sure he doesn’t understand why we don’t visit, so sad.
