Due to my mum having Alzheimer’s she had to go into a care home at the start of lockdown as she would not have been able to cope without support from family and carers. She moved In at the end of March and since then I have only been able to see her twice, through a glass door and for no longer than 10 minutes. It’s heartbreaking because she doesn’t understand why I cant take her out like I use to. This is not how she should be spending her twilight years.
