"Alzheimer's touched our family, as it does many, and because of this my Mum wanted to bequeath money to the Alzheimer's Society in her will. She watched both her Mum and Grandmother suffer the indignity of this disease. My Mum and Gran taught me to be a strong and independent person.To live life in the moment and enjoy every experience. Mum showed her stubborn and indefatiguable spirit in her fight back from a stroke. She died last year from emphysema and complications of a further stroke. I miss both my Mum and my Gran, and will never forget the love and support they gave me"
